Major Logistical Error

Last night Aaron and I decided we would ride our bikes to work today. We spent much time preparing everything we needed so that, essentially, all we would have to do this morning was get dressed and hop on our bikes. When I gave Aaron his wake-up call, I was told he would not be riding his bike today after all. I have been saying for the past three years that I would start riding my bike to work, so with my bag already packed, I was determined - I was definitely riding my bike to work today, whether or not Aaron was riding his. So I kissed my man goodbye and hit the road.

I made it to work in decent time - 35 minutes. Just as I had finally stopped sweating and was putting my makeup on in front of the women's locker room mirror, my phone rang. It was Aaron... Asking where my car keys were. "In my bag!" I said.  As it turns out, I had left the house with my car keys in my backpack and my car blocking the garage, in which Aaron's car was parked. Woops...

  1. typical morning bullshit. some days a shirt isn't ironed, some days i have no coffee ready when i leave, and some days i have no lunch packed for me. at least today was a different kind of disappointment because the constant heartbreak needs variety. Aaron
