Bits of My Weekend

How do I always manage to get into the slowest checkout line every time I go shopping? I spent half an hour in line today at Superstore! This is no exaggeration. The 19 year old kid working the till was the slowest I had ever seen. Why does this alway happen to me? At what point should I have given up and switched lines? I kept thinking how I'd invested so much time and that it would eventually pay off. I would be out of here in no time. But the line next to me continued to move at twice the speed of the one I was in.

Sigh.... Sunday night already... I had a good weekend. I skipped Jazzercise on Saturday morning (after actually starting to get back into some sort of habit of going, having somehow made it to class the 3 Saturdays prior,) and went for breakfast with Aaron at a place called Wake in Kensington. They have all day breakfast on the weekends. I can't remember what it was called on their menu, but the breakfast sandwich I ordered had cheese, eggs, bacon and ham between two pieces of french toast. :) It was like a freakin' McGriddle! So bad... But so good... Either way, it was a great breakfast spot. Try it out some day if you're looking for something new.

Sigh....

Things are looking up! I love spring. I must admit - I love summer, too - but there's nothing like the relief that spring brings, with its warmer weather and longer days.

I was going to write a post primarily about my Cuba vacation, but I've been back in town now for three weeks and I think I've finally gotten past all the things that went wrong and I can say it was a good vacation. Sure, there were some "funny" stories, which I might write about later, but I really think I would like to put the negativity behind me. The weather was beautiful, I was away from the burden of everyday working life and I got to spend an entire week with the love of my life. I did realize I'm a bit of a homebody and I'm definitely looking forward to a two-week long date with my hammock this summer.
